XSEED Education Conference Philippines

Concluded on September 20, 2019

THE PROFESSIONAL K-12 TEACHER IN THE 21ST CENTURY

There is a lot of talk about treating teachers with respect and recognising them on par with other professionals. However, there are almost no opportunities for the best teachers to showcase what truly outstanding teaching actually looks like – and be given recognition for their professional skills. XSEED seeks to bridge this gap by providing a platform to find, nurture, and reward the best of our best teachers.

To do so, XSEED launched the XSEED Super Teacher Philippine Search, a first-of its- kind talent discovery program to find Philippine’s best of the best teaching professionals. This four week-long competitive search was open to over 1,000 XSEED teachers across the country. Hundreds of XSEED teachers participated in the search. They went through four rounds of evaluation by a jury, leading to a grand finale on Friday, Sept 20, 2019 during the XSEED Education Conference in Manila, NCR.

XSEED Conference this year was special. Apart from the usual stirring sessions and exciting conversations, it showcased some great professional teachers LIVE in front of the most influential education leaders. We rewarded them with international-standard skill-building and career development opportunities.

THE PROFESSIONAL K-12 TEACHER IN THE 21ST CENTURY

There is a lot of talk about treating teachers with respect and recognising them on par with other professionals. However, there are almost no opportunities for the best teachers to showcase what truly outstanding teaching actually looks like – and be given recognition for their professional skill. XSEED seeks to bridge this gap by providing a platform to find, nurture, and reward the best of our best teachers.

To do so, XSEED has launched the ‘XSEED SuperTeacher Search’ – a first-of-its-kind talent discovery program to find India’s best of the best teaching professionals. This 30-days competitive search was open to over 75,000 XSEED teachers across the country and went live on July 10, 2019. Thousands of XSEED teachers participated in XSEED SuperTeacher 2019. They went through four rounds of evaluation by a jury, leading to a grand finale on Aug 10, 2019, during the XSEED Education Conference in Chennai.

XSEED Conference is among India’s largest and most relevant gatherings in education. It has, over the past decade, had over 11,000 schools as participants and eminent speakers from across the world. XSEED Education was founded with a mission and passion to transform elementary education from a “tell and teach” method to “show and learn” one. Having reached 1 million XSEED children in more than 3000 schools across eight countries, including many in tier 2&3 towns of India, XSEED has equipped 75,000+ teachers with a well-researched teaching method that replaces rote instruction with hands-on learning.
