Founder’s Message: September 2018 | India Edition
Dear School Leaders,
This is the third issue of The XSEED Gazette in India and I am happy to share that our monthly newsletter is being received positively by the school community.
The previous two issues of The XSEED Gazette shared suggestions on improving the performance of the XSEED Leader and of students in class with independent writing and activity-based learning. The September issue looks beyond academics and shares best practices to involve parents in the curriculum of the school. Do spend some time and thought on the article, it is highly likely some of your challenges will be addressed.
Many of you joined us at the XSEED Education Conference on August 4 in Bengaluru. I thank you for attending the event, in person or virtually with the event webcast. We received an overwhelming response to the event. We have also featured highlights from the conference in case you could not attend. In line with the theme of the conference, this edition of the Gazette features an article on how technology supplements learning in the classroom. We had conversations with Dr. Howard Gardner and Andrew Gardner at the conference on integrating technology in schools and I am sure you’ll find the article interesting.
In our continuous endeavours to improve teacher training in the country, I am happy to announce that we conducted our first e-training for over 400 XSEED teachers this month. With the positive response we got from schools to this pilot session, we have decided to conduct digital training for teachers regularly. Finally, this issue shares the inspiring story of Kamla Nehru Public School from Phagwara (Punjab). The school has broken down the barriers to rural education and has become one of the most sought-after schools in the region!
I hope that this issue of The XSEED Gazette will be valuable to you. Please share your thoughts and feedback on stories at customer@xseededucation.com.
Warmly,
Ashish Rajpal
