St. Mary’s School, Thane, Tops the List of Best Budget Private Schools in India

India’s leading education magazine, Education World, has named St. Mary’s School from Thane, as the best Budget Private School ( BPS) in the country. XSEED Education is proud that students of St Mary’s have been studying in the XSEED way for the past 3 years.

Education in India is plagued by a system that does not strictly standardise learning effectiveness across schools. Only a small percentage of students in the country are able to attend elite institutions that provide international quality curriculum and a learning environment for a globalised tomorrow. The rest of Indian parents rely on Budget Private Schools (BPS) to prepare their children for a brighter future with capable teachers who develop basic abilities in their children like communication in English and preparedness for higher education.

St. Mary’s School claims that XSEED’s systematic lesson plans have helped their teachers improve learning effectiveness in class. Principal Shobhana Jha says, “It has been fantastic for the teachers to improve their teaching process. It has become very easy for the teachers to prepare themselves before entering the classrooms and conduct the class smoothly.” Every well-conducted 35 min lesson strengthens a child’s future, while a structured lesson plans enables teachers to deliver concepts better and run a class efficiently.

Implementing a new system of learning in a school always comes with a challenge, but never without a reward. St Mary’s claims that while parents were apprehensive about changing the way their children learn, it took them only 6 months to observe a positive change. With hands-on learning and group activities, St. Mary’s school says that they have observed a dramatic change in their students “academic, social and personal behaviour.”

“It’s been 3 years that St. Mary’s school is using XSEED and they have been implementing it more effectively each year. The XSEED Leader in the school personally takes XSEED classes, which helps her support other teachers in the school. The school management also ensures to visit the school and classrooms atleast once a week to review the implementation status. It is really in the engagement of the management and teachers that St. Mary’s has been able to achieve success with XSEED. We feel proud of being associated with St. Mary’s and look forward to many more years with the school’s faculty and student community.”, Says Mahesh Prajapati, Regional Executive Officer to the school.
